Dr. Harold Bays FOMA, FTOS, FACC, FNLA, FASPC is Medical Director and Founder of Your Body Goal, and is also Medical Director and Founder of the Louisville Metabolic and Atherosclerosis Research Center, Inc. (L-MARC). Since 1989, he has served as a Principal Investigator for over 500 clinical trials, including extensive research into anti-obesity therapeutic agents. Dr. Bays is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism, a Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology and Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
Dr. Bays has written, or served as a contributing author for ~ 300 scientific manuscripts and book chapters, authored/presented 100’s scientific abstracts, and is frequently invited as a national and international speaker. He has served as a Board of Director and Executive Officer of Scientific Organizations, has served as the Chairman for many scientific projects, and authored a number of Scientific Consensus Statements and National Recommendations.
Among his awards include the 2016 Obesity Medicine Association “Obesity Medicine Clinician of the Year” and the 2015 National Lipid Association “President’s Service Award.”
